Duct Tape Purse

I have been wanting to make a duct tape craft for a long, long time now.  Especially in recent years since they have started selling duct tape in all different colors and patterns.  So I made this purse, and I think I am addicted now.  So expect to see more duct tape crafts on this blog in the future!

This was surprisingly easy to make.  You basically fold pieces of duct tape over to make strips, then weave them together for the body, then construct it into a bag.  I must confess, I took plenty of pictures of the finished bag, but I didn't take any pictures of the assembly process.  Why?  Because Dianna at Designs by Dianna has already put together a great tutorial complete with pictures.  You can find it here.  I figured rather than re-do what she has already done, I'll just send you to her link.

More pictures of the finished bag:

I love this bag!  It's so cute and funky and original.  I think that the high school version of me would have loved this even more than the adult version of me!  Let me know if you try this project.  I promise once you have made one duct tape creation, you will want to make more!
