No pounds lost for me this week. =( I blame it entirely on my new work schedule which only allows me enough time to work out for 30 minutes a day instead of 60. But time is time, and that's all there is. You can't squeeze blood from a stone, can you?
Anyway, I am sharing something I discovered awhile ago, and that is the health benefits of cinnamon. It can aid in weight loss, and has several health benefits, including:
It can lower your cholesterol
It can regulate your blood sugar
It has an anti-clotting effect on your blood
It can kill the cold and flu viruses
Read about some of the studies that have been done to prove the super powers of cinnamon here.
Now, you're thinking, well why wouldn't everyone eat cinnamon every day? Seems like a no-brainer given the facts. The only problem I have run into is that cinnamon is always hanging out with his best buddy, sugar. What is there to eat with cinnamon but no sugar? Not a lot of options out there. So one day, I was looking for vitamins at the drug store and I happened to find these:
Cinnamon in capsule form. Yeah, I realize it's a little silly to take cinnamon in a pill when you could just eat it, but trust me, it makes it easier to get your daily requirement in. So I try to remember to take 2 of these every day so I can stay healthy.
